i had mine done a few months ago with a gun (very painful) and it did take a while to heal up.
also, the stud which they injected was quite large.
my daughter now wants it done but needs to wear a small stud asap because of her job.
i cant remember where i read that it should be done with a needle.

Needle. Gun is not a good at all can seriously damage the nose. Has mt nose pierced twice now first with a gun which made that side of nose collapse after a while. Then took it out and a year later went to much better piercer who used a needle, not once had a problem and she is now my piercer. Guns are bad, every piercing I have had with a gun has gone wrong sooner or later.
when i went to get it done at about 15 i think, i got the option of either the needle or the gun, (the needle's more expensive). i decided on getting the gun, theres a quick shot of pain and then its over (its sore for a little while though). i changed for a small stud a few weeks after but that came out in my sleep and it healed up, so i got it done again with a gun but decided not to put a nose stud in it as they just come out so easily (and i have found that nose piercings heal up so quickly!) so now i just wear an earring cos the back keeps it from coming out :-)
it heals so quickly though, whenever i want to change it i always find that even after just a minute its hard to get the stud through and you have to give it quite a push!
