You're right, you do know nothing........ sorry, you know nething!
nowadays sunbeds are so different, they are even known to help the skin and ease aching joints. I use the sunbed twice a week, don't wear make-up always use one of the creams on offer to buy to protect your skin. ^ minutes here in scotland costs 1.50
LOL sunbeds help your skin LOL what a riot!

ok well I live in essex and here sunbeds are usually available in either high or low. Usually its a fiver for 10 minutes on the low tanning beds (meaning you become less brown than on a high), the high beds are about 8 pounds for 10 minutes. I reckon you only need 10 minutes a week on them, unless you want to look really fakey brown. Any reputable tanning shop will have someone explain to you everything and show you before you go on a bed.
You may sweat slightly, but inside the bed there are fans that you can turn on that will not make you feel like youre roasting in an oven! So dont worry, you wont sweat buckets :)
yes help your skin? what is so funny? anyone at a tanning salon will tell you that certain skin conditions can be helped by using a sunbed.
well, they help things like eczema and psoriasis but so do creams like double base etc. But would you risk skin cancer?? madness. twice a week is FAR too much - safety regulations advise against having more than ten a year.
Yes-anyone in a tanning salon WILL tell you that certain skin conditions can be helped by using a tan bed. Of course they will-they are trying to sell you the damn product! But anyone with common sense will know that there are safer ways of improving skin conditions than exposing yourself to harmful rays..
Sandra is right about the skin conditions, I have atopic eczema and my GP told me of the benefits of UV rays although he didn't actually tell me to use sunbeds.

Another girl I know was given a sunbed on the NHS to clear hers up! All her family had excellent tans!

Char - you need about 2-3 a week, price depends on which salon you go to and how long you spend under them. You shouldn't wear makeup or contacts and yes they do make you sweat!
