well been to blackpool for the weekend had a good time ,was walking along the front when i saw 3 lifeboats and the rescue helicopter they were trying to rescue someone all very dramatic it was, then it ended up some druggy had breched bail the coppers spotted him so he ran it the sea to avoid getting caught!!!! the sent the helicopter to use the wind of its propellels to blow him back on shaw!!! he will have wasted a fortune on emergency sevices resources, i bet he wasent even gratful
Its something like 10 grand just to get them in the air isn't it? Cheaper if he had drowned, and that sounds harsh but a protion of my Council tax goes to lancashire County Council for the Police services.
it would seem that the RAF helicopter was on a training flight and it was "passing the area" so able to assist the police. It then went on to rescue another man in difficulty in the local area. So good value for a training flight.
The aircraft involved was a Sea King MK3A of 22 Squadron (C flight), it is based at RAF Valley on Anglesey. Though I would say it is more suited to search and rescue rather than police work but hey!
i supose the coppers got there man and like you say stevie if they were on a call out anyway its not so bad and if somthing had happened to him the family would have claimed thousands of the police cos it would have ended up sombody elses fault as thease things often do
i know of a woman who was given an ambulance (at a hefty cost) to go to her daughters because she was too fat to get in a taxi...the GP had to action this and the staff were raging but had to go with it because he said so!! disgraceful i thought!
and if your taking the p##s ufoplus the i could,nt giva f### at least i try and be intresting instead of saying sarcastic things about other peoples threads, so why dont you try and say somthing intresting then we can take the p##s out of you!!!!!!!! maybe your not that intelegent, and before you say it for someone who could,nt care i have a lot to say well thats me in one!!!
