this could well be a science question too!!!! i have blonde dyed hair with black bits through it which have faded to brown, that is fine. however, i have a big panel of black down the one side. i want to put it back to blonde and then put browny bits through it to match the rest. tested a piece using pre lightener but would only go bright orange, omg!!! really cant afford to go to hairdressers, any ideas. was gonna put prelightener on all over but would make all black bits orange no doubt. was then gonna put an ash permanent colour on, any ideas welcome which wont cost me a fortune??!!

thought i had a sensible answer or two for a minute, look just because you two are natural blondes!!
Oh are you not a natural blonde?
ive been a natural blonde since i was fifteen i have
Bubbles... You should be okay! I had my hair black for years and had to have it professionally stripped twice before it got to a brown colour. I went to a training salon and paid nothing - check your area and see if any of the salons will help. You never know they may do it for free just for the challenge. Good luck
I had a panel that had been dyed black bleached and it wouldn't go as light as the rest of my blonde, its a kind of dark gold colour now!! That was at the hairdressers so i doubt you will get it straight to blonde from black it might take a couple of goes

Hi bubbles, I really do think you should consult a professional as it seems to me that it will be very difficult to turn it all the same colour. I understand that home bleaches are not as strong as professional salon bleaches which may be why you will not have much success. Have you any college nearby which does hairdressing courses and accept models? That may be another way of getting it done for a reasonable price. If not I would recommend trying to find a good salon and paying the full price!
Cheers Sue
