Green eyes

Ok reading that question about eyes further down mademe think of something i always wondered... is it true that green eyes are very hard to get? as i have heard there can only be 1 colour mix / combination to make green eyes?

I dunno. My ex wife had apple green eyes, really beautiful colour, and I have blue eyes and of our six sons only one has her green eyes the others are all blue eyed except for two whose eyes are a funny mix of all colours sort of hazelly greeney blue. My second wife has blue eyes and of our two daughters one has very dark brown/black eyes and the other blue eyes, so it would appear that green eyes are hard to get.

I have green eyes, and my hubby has blue eyes. Both my sons have inherited my green eyes. My Mum used to say that when i cried, my eyes turned really bright green.

Ive got green eyes and often wonder where they came from as both my parents have blue eyes??

same here both my parents have really light blue eyes! Its odd though, then again my aunty has dark brown eyes and quite dark skin but her mom and dad (my nan and grandad) are both really pale with blue eyes :s these things work in mysterious ways heh

Its very strange, both of my sisters have blue eyes, my kids dad has blue eyes and they too both have really lovely blue eyes? I always thought that the stronger colour would be the green!! Obviously Im wrong!

i used to have hazel eyes but now they are green with a tiny ring of hazel round the pupil about 1mm wide, they changed gradually over a few years starting when i was about 13 ish

Thats strange cuz apparently i was born with brown eyes and now they are a really dark green!

Im glad someone else eyes have changed colour too. :)Mine used to be hazel till I reached around 13 or 14 yrs old then they slowly changed to hazel and green. Now they are clearly just green.
