Nasty Vitamin A Cream
4 Answers
I started using this vitamin A face cream, in an effort to keep the wrinkles at bay. After 2 weeks, my skin seemed blotchy and dry!! and then the cream started to sting a bit whenever I put it on. I stopped using it, obviously, but now I have really, REALLY dry areas on my face, that I can't seem to get rid of.
Anyone else found that they have had a reaction to it, or how can I 'heal' my skin. (I look about 55 instead of 29)

I've also had this reaction to Vitamin A creams and I don't consider myself to have particularly sensitive skin, though it is a bit on the dry side. My skin also ended up red, blotchy and very dry and a bit flaky. Anyway, the best moisturiser I have found for dry skin and for keeping the laughter lines at bay is Eucerin - costs about 6 in Boots and lasts ages. I will eat my hat if it doesn't work for you. I used to be a complete sucker when it came to beauty products and have tried just about every brand, but have now wised up and believe that the basics really are the best.
You speak the truth Miss Zippy! I too am a firm believer in Vaseline and Lanolin, but I strayed from the path! ;-) I'm glad i'm not the only one who's had this reaction, I wouldn't say I had sensitive skin, but it really has damaged my face. I've heard of this Euricin, so will definately invest in a bottle. Thank's for the advice. :-)
