There shouldn't be to much blood as the cavities will be packed with a special packing.
The biggest problem is, its a pain in the butt when all your food disappears in the holes but plenty of mouth swilling sorts that out.
So no worries, more uncomfortable that painfull.

I agree with Ratter, if you have a good dentist, it shouldn't be that bad an experience. But, do take someone with you, as sometimes you can feel a bit out of it just after the procedure. They usually advise that you should not leave the surgery until you feel safe to do so and not to drive after you have had a tooth extraction, take a taxi. It is just safer. Pain-wise, you should not have much to worry about. Hope all goes well for you. Let us konw how you got on. Best wishes.
like janetsflower, I had all 4 taken out at once, and the whole expereince wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The worst thing I thought was the fear itself and not the actual extractions.
the worst part was coming home with a swollen, yellow face afterwards - Mr Boo said I looked like Bart Simpson :-(

I'm a man so pain is no problem ha ha ha I had one wisdom tooth out a month ago and the dentist took it out just with needle to numb the pain and she told me it would bleed for about an hour but SHE WAS WRONG 26 later the tooth stopped bleeding had to go to hospital at 4:3o in the morning cause there was blood every where and they just told me it would eventually stop.Never going to go for an emergency dentist again i'll sell my car next time
Any way I hope its a private dentist and not an emergency dentist in dorset

don't lie down for a while as the blood pools in your throat.
when i had mine done, i had to get the bus home and i nipped in a shop on the way to get some mags etc and got a horrified look from the woman behind the counter.
i reckoned it was because of my hamster cheeks, but when i got in i looked in the mirror and saw i had 2 dracula-esque lines of dried blood down either side of my mouth!!
i'd have laughed my head off if i'd felt up to it! lol

Not sure exactly how much help this will be, but I had my bottom 2 wisdom teeth out when I was 14 (quite a few years ago). They had not cut the gum as they were found to be growing across my other teeth on an x-ray. They gave me anaesthetic obviously and when I came round I was starving hungry - demanding soup and ice-cream. All the other kids on the ward were dead to the world. The stitches felt like bits of meat stuck in your teeth, but apart from that, nothing to worry about at all. Everybody reacts differently, so don't listen to any scare stories. Good luck!
