Last year i broke up with my ex of 5 years, after endless posts on here about feeling too old and maybe i should settle down with him etc etc, anyway i thought i did the right thing breaking up with him and i realised 25 is not too old to be single!! I started seeing a guy a bit younger than me and i have known him for years, it's going great! We moved in together, we have never argued (7 months now!) and i feel so in love with him. Trouble is, i have recently been dreaming about my ex. Dreams where he needs my help but if i help him i lose everything i have, i wake up all stressed because i never make a decision in my dreams. Can anyone help me out? My ex was a few years older and ready to settle down, marriage and kids. My boyfriend now is fun but doesn't want all the marriage kids stuff for a while off yet. I'm happy with life the way it is but these dreams keep haunting me and make me think about everything. Somone out there MUST be able to help!!

If you are happy with the way life is then I wouldn't read anything into your dreams.I have the most wierd dreams, some involve my ex who I cant stand. The brain does peculiar things when we are asleep, which we have no control over.So unless you are thinking about him in the day as well, and wishing you were back with him then I wouldnt worry about it.
your subconscious runs all sorts of scenarios through your mind when you dream. No doubt, way in the back of your mind, you are indeed considering marriage and children; most people do. And your subconscious has attached your ex to these because he was associated with them in your mind. But that's okay; just because people think about children, and even like them, doesn't mean they want one right now. PinkFizz is right: if your life is happy, stick with it. Plenty of time for kids later.
