armpit healing time

Used that Driclor stuff last night and even though i have used it loads it has decided to burn my armpits, which is nice. Read on here about using aloevera gel to sooth it so I bought some this morning. My question is how long should it take to clear up so I can use deoderant again. I'm going on holiday on thursday and they're all bloomin red and I am walking like a monkey cos I can't put them down properly :/

Sorry to say this ,but it took a week or so for my husband`s armpits to clear when he develpored an allergy to deodorant. Like you, he`d been using the same one for ages. I checked & they`d changed one of the ingredients in it. He now uses Sure for sensitive skin & has had no problems.

this happened to me when I tired Dove's new range, the doc gave me betnovate(sp?) and it cleared up within a couple of days

Thanks, I might try to see the doctor and see if he'll give me some betnovate. The aloe vera gel seems to have stopped the stinging - it was making my eyes water before. I have to go to work in a bit so have to attempt to put my bra on.... ouch!

I have used driclor and it not only burns my armpits but it itches like crazy too. It burns and itches alot more if you put it on when you have shaved your armpits.

I suffered the same thing as justasking when i used that stuff, i persevered with it and it took about a week to get my underarms used to it. I only used it at night , used to put it on before i went to bed. It does stop you havin sweaty armpits though. The pain we put ourselves thru!!
