Morbid question i guess but has anyone ever had anything happen to them where they have stopped breathing/died for a couple of minutes/seconds and then been brought back?Or do you know anyone this happened to?
And if so what was the experience like?

my bloke died in the emergency room after a serious bike crash 20 years ago, he says he was on the ceiling watching it all unfolding, I believed him then, now I think, he is a p!$$ head half the time anyway and always on the ceiling.
dot your not fond of the man now i take it ?
It appears that this thing about looking down on yourself and looking through tunnels on clouds etc is all thoughts and memories people have whilst dying, not memories of death itself. I saw a programme on the television a few years back and it explained why people who have died see these things, its part of the process of our brains shutting down apparently, it all made sense at the time and a bit more realistic than memories of death itself.
well he annoyed me considerably about an hour ago by suddenly deciding he was going to build a helicopter so no

I doubt it it is only about 6 feet long

you my boy are now grounded get to bed now and no supper or television.
This is a bit of a serious answer - I accept what Ratter says and I think this is what happens in most cases, but I have actually had the experience twice. Once during an operation and once when back on the ward in the presence of my daughter. Apparently, my 'time of death' was recorded on my medical file and a certificate filled out for pathology minutes after it happened the first time, so I was told by the medical staff that I was actually dead. In fact my doctor and I ceremoniously burned the certificate about two weeks later. I think each person will probably experience things in his or her own way. It is not a thing that is easy to talk about. Going seemed lovely and easy, but it was not easy to fight my way back. I can say though, that my own experience helped my son, when he was dying of cancer. He died peacefully in my arms, as I had been able to take the fear of the dying process from his mind. This was my final gift to him.
im a bit lost for words but thank you for your contribution tonight and best wishes
Yea, I've died loads of times, then I come back. It's a really strange experience because you know whats happening but at the same time you don't. Last time it happened to me I was petrified, happened so many times but it's scary each time you die. I was shaking like mad, then I woke up.
