My daughter is due to have a milk tooth extracted due to an abscess, what is a spacer and will it be required, does it hurt to have it fitted?

I have had a spacer and they don't hurt at all. They look like a staple that they put between your teeth. I didn't even know they put mine in. Doesn't hurt a bit. No worries.
