Wont go into school
3 Answers
OK... my brother is 10. Last year in school he was very badly bullied and ended up having to leave because it got to the stage where every day he was left with bruises .and it was mostly carried out by people who he thought were his friends...and kids in the year above him ended up helping him.
He was home schooled for around 3 months, but for the most part didnt do work jsut spent time with his dad (who he dotes on and will do anything to spend time with him)
When we moved house he got put into a new school for the last term and thoguht it was brilliant, made lots of friends and was basically a care free kid again. He has not even had the slightest inclanation of bullying as the school is only small and very strict.
last week was his first day back at school and on monday he refused to go in... kicking screaming crying clinging onto doors lacking himmself in his room... he ended up having the day off but promised to go in the next day
and he did... had a wonderful time.. was really happy to be going back, everything was fine again.
today, monday, he did it again... compltly refused to go in. and ended up spending the day with my dad at home (meaning my dad couldnt go to work = BIG problem)
As far as we can see theres no problem other then he jsut doesnt like school, as most boys dont at his age... but do you think its jsut because he wants to stay home and be lazy or could there genuinly be something bothering him.
obviously we want to get this problem sorted before he goes to seniours last year, and the school is already threatening that he may have to go to a specialist school for truants if he doesnt start going in
Any advice would be great
Thanks x
