It's only when it's at an audible level which can be easily heard by others that it can become a problem. I think that it also depends on whether or not it is midweek or the weekend as I know that I tolerate a lot more when it is the weekend but I would be offended by music being blasted late at night midweek.
Do you have thin walls ? Or are you meaning that you keep your windows open and are worried about the sound carrying ? If not , then I don't see how playing it at a low level which can't be heard by others outside your home would be annoying. Or are you upsetting others within your household ?
