If it were for me?... make her a nice meal, or if you cannot cook, take her out to a really nice quiet, romantic restaurant, something a bit special. After dinner give her a single, long, thick stemmed, dark red baccara rose and tell her how you honestly feel about her. Don't go overboard and buy something massively expensive, even though you might feel she is worth it. It is not the present that should be big, but the sentiment. Remember, as the years go by, you may well have to put more and more effort and money into anniversary gifts, so take it slowly if you want to survive this (just kidding!) Honestly, it depends on what kind of girl she is really and on how you feel about her; also about how much you can afford to spend. If you can't afford to take her out to dinner, just make sure you give her your full attention on the day, remember the rose (or roses) and tell her how you feel. If she truly loves you, that alone should make her feel wonderful. If you can afford more, do more ... take her to the theatre or concert or on a weekend trip etc. To me, a single rose is still something very special at any time of the year. Easy to please, me ... hint, hint!
