premonitions
22 Answers
Hi, my dad has very strong premonitions which usually come true, they are usually done through dreams but he says the dreams are not like normal dreams they are very different and when he has one he certainly knows whats going to happen, is there anyone he can talk to about them as he gets very upset as he thinks he is going mad, he has always had them even from a small boy, he is now 67. Any help please. x

I'm a little intrigued why it is that you dad has started to get worried about all this at such a late stage in his life, I though he would be used to it by now?

yes quite a few of the dreams do come true, but usually if it involves the family he will always let us know what he did dream about and lets say the dream was about a train crash, then we know not to go on a train until we hear something has happened, it even gets stranger than that, the other week he had a dream about the Peasants Revolt of 1381 and he knew everything about it even though he had never heard of it before, he made me look it up on the net and everything he told me was on the page i was looking at, and he dosnt own a computer.
I wouldn't go to the doctors either as they tend to not be very understanding about things like that. Maybe you dad is living past lives in some of the dreams?
My mum has dreams about car crashes every now and again and whenever she does, they usually occur the next morning in front of her (she doesn't drive so she's not causing them!!!)

I don't mean to criticise, but if your Dad is 67, has had these dreams all his life, and they disturb him so much, why hasn't he looked for help before now? Maybe they bother you more than they bother your Dad, and you are upset on his behalf? If so, you maybe need to focus more on how your Dad feels about it - does he really want to go through with all you suggest, or is he doing this because you think he should?
Please don't be upset at my suggestion - I know that you mean well - but it is strange that your Dad has reached the age of 67 without seeking help.

I don't really have any advice for you tamirra, but i do have weird dreams myself that come true quite often. I either dream or think of people that i haven't seen for years & the next day i will see them. & i've also had quite a few dreams that have actually come true, nothing too serious though.
& i also dreamt that there was a bomb on the underground & a big crash the night before 7/7.
I just put it down to coincidence.
