If only my westie could talk
3 Answers
OK sorry long question.... I recently started taking my two westie up a country park. Muppet(7) and Izzy(3). Izzy is not normally let off the lead but I have started letting her off at the park, it's very quiet! She absolutely adores it, runs through the heathers, sniffing the ground, it's a pleasure to watch her having so much fun. Had to take her to the vets a few weeks ago cos she was scratching alot and vet thought it could be harvest mites. He gave her some shampoo. Went on hols 2 weeks ago and my mum looked after the dogs but couldn't take them out so they had the run of the garden. After hols, vet was pleased with her. Now i've started taking her to the park again she's started scratching again. If she could talk would she want to carry on going to the park and keep scratching or would she want me to stop taking her and let her skin get better? I don't know what to do? any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance x

I run mine on an old disused airfield, or on forest tracks. It would soon tell you if she was still itching, but if she wasn't then you've got your answer.
As for her telling you, she'd very likely say she wanted to still go, but if its not in her best interests then you should try somewhere else.
