I'm currently taking a 2 week course of antibiotics. I don't feel on top form on them, but I know most people don't. My question is, if I take probiotic supplements at the same time will this make the antibiotics less effective or just counteract some of their negative side effects?

The probiotics will not make any difference to the effectivness of your antibiotic.Sometimes probiotics have been used to counter the effects of diarrhoea caused by antibiotic use.
As antibiotics don't differentiate between good and bad bacteria, it kills them all, hence the digestion problems. You can get round this by eating natural yogurt which will replace the good bacteria you need in your gut.

Thank you kindly, people. I'd better get me some of that there yoghurt, I think. It's not a gut problem (yet) but if it might help counteract some of the other odd side effects, then I'll certainly give it a try.
