Went to a convent - no nuns are left there now though but I was taught by a few nuns! Brown Skirt, Brown Jumper, white and yellow striped blouse and blazer was blue brown gold stripes. the surrounding schools lovingly caused us the deckchairs!
my school had the worst uniform ever, the girls in yr 7 & 8 had to wear green tights, a red tartan kilt & a green jumper!
then in years 9 - 11 it was green tights, tartan green kilt & a green jumper!!
and it wasn't even in scotland!
to make it worse the boys got off lucky and didnt have to wear kilts they just got to wear plain trousers and a blazer with a tartan tie!
Oh yeah... and each year at my secondary school had different colour shirts to go with the brown, mine was green but one very unlucky lot got a rather fetching yellow...
I went to a a nursery where they didnt know what to do if a child was choking...so luckily my mum arrived on time....
My primary school i loved.... because the boys loved me...and Valentines Day was my favourite day of the year....
My Secondary School was a comprehensive $h!t hole....loadsa fights, loadsa trouble.....my mum did try and get me into a girls school but none were close enough to my "local area" so i ended up going to the $hit hole following in my brothers foot steps. I started 3 months later than everyone else as my parents strongly dissapproved in me going to this mixed school. But they had to eventually give in, so after 3 months of home tuition i went... and i hated it, because i was sooooo quite and never spoke to anyone but my mates, class teachers couldnt even remember my name... - but now im FREEEEE!!!
German Primary school, German Ursuline convent (boarding school), French Ursuline convent, (boarding school), American military high school in Germany, top German Girl's College. Didn't get my degree until I'd had my three children and gone through a divorce. Oh, and no I am NOT German, I'm Irish!
Now you know why I am so utterly confused at times! :o)
