Illegal Immigrants Poem
I cross ocean, poor and broke,
Take bus, see employment folk.
Nice man treat me good in there,
Say I need to see welfare.
Welfare say, "You come no more,
We send cash right to your door."
Welfare cheques, they make you wealthy,
NHS it keep you healthy!
By and by, I got plenty money,
Thanks to you, British dummy.
Write to friends in motherland,
Tell them 'come fast as you can.'
They come in turbans and Ford trucks,
I buy big house with welfare bucks
They come here, we live together,
More welfare cheques, it gets better!
Fourteen families, they moving in,
But neighbour's patience wearing thin.
Finally, white guy moves away,
Now I buy his house, and then I say,
"Find more aliens for house to rent."
And in the yard I put a tent.
Send for family they just trash,
But they,too,draw the welfare cash!
Everything is very good,
And soon we own the neighbourhood.
We have hobby it's called breeding,
Welfare pay for baby feeding.
Kids need dentist? Wife need pills?
We get free! We got no bills!
Britain crazy! He pay all year,
To keep welfare running here.
We think U.K. darn good place!
Too darn good for the white man race.
If they no like us, they can scram,
Got lots of room in Pakistan.

to the intended question was quite obviously - '' Do you like my little poem'' and who would be offended by it, apart from someone doing what the poem describes, mindless PCism from a few ABers - and like Nat said isnt telling someone to play with traffic worse, maybe they should practice what they preach, if you don't like it, don't read it, and certainly don't answer on the post
I don't think my stance is PC at all, and I most certainly am not mindless.
mnko asked us to take the poem 'as it was written'. Considering I have had this piece sent to me through my email inbox countless times, I do know that it isn't mnkos own work..I have no idea as to the original source, but have the feeling that it was not intended as a lighthearted poem originally.

Ah... but i DID say 'Don't be offended'... so WHY would ANYONE take offence at what little old me said...? (I'm just too lovely... and have lots of friends so no one should be nasty to me.)

I really don't think MNKO meant harm by this as I said, and I am squirming somewhat at the dressing down he's being given as such, however it's sadly given people like Dassie, Madarlow etc etc etc the cover to go on promoting raging racism and unpleasantness under the guise of "humour". I'm offended by it and I'm a white middle forties male. You don't have to be black or an immigrant to be embarassed by the sheer gauche naievity that anyone in their right mind could possibly find this funny.It's racist claptrap propagating stereotypical myths about immigrants and non white people.It may not be "important" on the face of it, but it's really nothing to do with being "PC" or not, it's to do with simple truths and good manners, and this displays neither and makes it very difficult to take seriously the points of view iof those people who claim to find it funny in other contexts.
