i have a pain in my right breast ans it's all red and swollen and i have never had pain like this before...what is it?

Have you got any sign of infection such as a spot or cut on it?
Are you breastfeeding at all or had a child recently?

no i don't have any sign of infection, no spots, nor cuts, nothing i just hurts and it looks bigger than usual...and no i've never had any children

then give you local GP a call and get an appointment.
In the meantime put a warm flannel (not hot) on it to ease the pain.

I had a abscess on my breast about 2 years ago, It was very tender and swollen. It felt like someone had thumped me in my chest. Maybe take some pain killers to help ease the pain.

Best to get the GPs opinion like everyone says.

also a cabbage leaf over the breast will help sooth it until you can see a doc.

It could be mastitis..this is associated with breatfeeding mothers, however it does occur in other women too.

I hate trying to diagnose, as I am not a professional ~ so get to the GP :o)

I have also heard the chilled cabbage leaves are a great source of pain relief!

Oh, I'm 16, and I talked to my doctor she said to get x-rays done...I'm nevrous!!
