Me and my boyfriend are going on a "break" for a week- starting on Monday, hoping that it will help rekindle - our what is now a bit of a rubbish relationship - i.e. too many arguments not enough love.

We all know Ross and Rachel from Friends had a slight misunderstanding -
so when a couple are supposedly on a "break" what are the 'rules'?

thanks whiskey! Nice to hear we're not the only ones!!!

Hey Leo (havent spoken to u for a whilse lmao)!

I think thats what im worried of - i know it will be REALLY DIFFICULT initially if we split up but i suppose thats always gonna be the hardest time to cope with - and i still HATE the thought of him moving on easily and being with someone else!
I felt like that to but Miss Admarlow helped a lot with that :0)

u felt like what leo?
well when miss sweden went home i missed her, and felt sad but miss admarlow was quickly on the scene to make things better.....
Mmmm I had a 'break' once, I took it as an opportunity to spend a bit of time with my friends and take stock of our relationship, he took it as an opportunity to sleep with any female he could get his hands on. . . . . . annnd he was surprised when I said lets make the break permanant!

Nat if it is the end, yes it will be painful for a while, but life's too short to waste it being in a relationship that is going nowhere.

Thanks Hellion - i totally agree with you!! Its just making the initial break final which is difficult.....hhmm....think me and my boyfriend will have a lot to talk about this weekend.

We both admitted we miss being single sometimes....which isnt a great start. But then we said that when we're happy then its the best feeling ever - so i dunno - baffled!
a break means....u and your pretty friend Mary can have a 3some with me without any guilt
my boyfriend and me went on a break once...his idea not mine... and although he did say it was a way of letting me down gently to actually breaking up with me we got back together within 4 days, we saw each other the first day after we were meant to be on a break and it was very tearful indeed! but i disagree with ben cos we basically got straight back to how things were again! but then again i was gutted when he suggested it and dint see it coming at all! dont really know where im going with this....I'd say if you really want to go on a break then limit talking on the phone to once in the week, unless you have a sudden revelation about whether your going to work things out or not, definitely remain faithful to each other, it should be a break to find out what you want not who you could get if you were single! hope all goes well!
Hmmm, how can you disagree with me sophie :( . your break was only 1 day. I dont think that really counts as a break. If you were to break for at least a week, then it would be a lot different. Try it... :)
