Not strictly a pet question - I found a stray by the back door the other day, black and white moggie. It had very strange looking eyes - like amber crystals had formed in the irises. Does anyone know what might have caused this?
I don't know how old it was - like a lot of strays, it probably looked older than it was. I wouldn't have thought it had cataracts; the eyes weren't cloudy. I'm trying to think of a better description, and all I can come up with is, they were like marmalade that had been stirred up.
Could you not catch it and take it to the cats protection people, where hopefully they could check it out and maybe find it a home, if you cannot home it, as a blind stray cat would not last very long on the streets. (Cats protection do not put down any healthy animal)
How very thoughtful of you to be so concerned many people would'nt be.
