Rash -jewellery

I been wearing a ring on my thumb for years, its real gold but all of a sudden its started to give me a rash.
Why has it only happened now?

Is it dirty on the inside? Could it be that that's irriating you? Is it gold plated and its worn away and its the metal underneath that's giving you the rash?

sunflower take the ring of and soak it in some white vineger over night should be ok in the morning xxx hope this helps xxx
