hi i have been given steriods by my doctor for an inflammation disease of the joints can anyone tell me what to expect while i am taking them i.e weight gain, etc.,

Yes, you will gain weight and your appetite will improve. You will also be free of a lot of the pain you are suffering though. Depends how long you are on the medication.

i've been on steriods myself, yes you can expect weight gain and increase in appitite. sometimes you can feel sick,however dependant on how long your on them for you need to be careful how you come of them, make sure you decrease the amount slowly don't just stop.

The good thing about them if that they work, but you increase you weight which applys more pressure which makes the problem worse.

where is the imflamation and what steriods are you on?

hi guys thanks for your answers the inflammation is in my wrist joints elbows, and knees, and also down parts of my spine, the steriods i am on are called PREDNISOLONE 5mg
