Low oxygen level in the blood

Hi I'm Kaz's Mum!
one of the tests that I had showed a low oxygen level in my blood, the doctors were unsure if this caused the seizure or if the seizure caused the oxygen level to fall? I have also been concerned that I might be forgetting things since the seizure? I have spoken to the hospital today and they have reassured me but I am still keen to hear other peoples experiences and advice that might help. Thanks.

hi susie, hope you feeling better i recall the post from kaz, have you not been given a diagnosis or a reason for the seizure? or are the doctors going to do some tests ? i assume you oxygen levels are now normal.

Nicer to meet you Susie O. Seizures can be very frightening. I have seen my partner's lovely daughter go through them a few times and my son had a few too. I do hope they are doing tests to find out why you went through this. If not, ask them to. I think that some seizure medication can make you a bit forgetful. If they have put you on meds maybe that is why you are feeling this way. Talk to your doctor and if this becomes a problem for you, he/she might be able to suggest different meds for you. Nice to see you online though and |I do hope you feel a lot better soon.

Thanks to all for the answers and good wishes...... yes my oxgyen level is back to normal and I am awaiting EEG test shortly. At the moment I am not on any medication, they cant give me anything till they find a cause. The forgetting thing was a worry but I believe its me being too sensitive. (I am at that funny age?) The non driving turned my world upside down and I was feeling very low and sorry for myself. My independant was gone!! I am feeling much brighter now, I cant change it so will live with it......
I have my wonderful family and friends life is OK!!
