Just it is over here in ireland, Everyone was out lastnite with halloween coming up loads of parties, they dont celebrate bonfire night over here. they have bonfires on haloween night
If it is, the bunch of children that have passed my house this morning on their way to school won't be impressed! - well, actually, they're probably jumping for joy :)
I have never heard of it being a bank holiday on the Monday before Halloween, what's that all about? Very odd, what would it be called? The night before All hallows |Night Bank Holiday? But in other years what would they call it? the night nearest the night before all hallows?

There was talk a few years ago of making Trafalgar Day a bank holiday which is October 21st but nothing ever came of it.
Lore why were children going to school today? Its a 2 week half term now, or is that not the same everywhere?

I dont know why? guess the irish just wanted another long weekend for pleanty of drinking. lolnot that they need an excuse. God i love this place, So relaxed and laid back.
nope only one week here ... although, they did get 7 weeks during the summer due to the Open being held here this year.
For some of us half term was last week. It's different dates in different areas.
