Although I do love watching the tiny children smile as they get a treat, but its just an american hype and a load of rubbish and another excuse for teenagers to cause havoc with the tricks.
oh ur lucky..... when kids knock on my door....i really feel the urge to say..."TRICK".....then they'd all just stand their completely unprepared and looking at each other....but havent had the guts yet incase they bomb me with eggs and flour :o(
Yeah - Americans go mad for Halloween!!! Its like one of the biggest events of the year for them.....after the 'annual alabama pie eating contest 'obviously.
If anyone tries it with me I have two eggs Ive saved since 2004 which have got to be lethal by now, so I may get egged but they will get green stinky ones back as I get on my roof and pelt them with them :-)
Taking my little ones to a party. my little girl has decided she doesnt want to be a witch anymore though because her stick wont work.....( broom )....she has the coolest witches outfit as well with matching black n purple striped tights.....i am sure she will wear it in the end...
I think its a bit too americanised to be honest.
Im all for kids having fun and parties but going around the streets in the dark knocking on strangers doors i dont agree with.
I think that it would be nice if you could leave a sign out for such groups of kids. Maybe leave a pumpkin or a sign outside if you were happy for them to call. After all these kids are expecting sweets or money from people they dont even know so they should respect the wishes of those that dont want to be disturbed. Its not as if you can just open the door and give them sweets, you have to listen to their poems, comment on all their clothes etc (even the teenagers with just a sheet) and all at a time when youve not long been in from work and are trying to sort dinner etc
I will be travelling tomorrow night so i wont be disturbed and if my son wants to go trick or treating when hes older then it will be with a responsible adult and only to houses that are in favour of halloween.
babe watched saw 3 on friday!! its a great film i loved it.i dont usually do anything for halloween. although i mite get my mask out and join the kids with trick or treating. no one would no cos im only little hehe xxx
tomorrow will go something like this......
tidy the house - Again!
make sure my fiance has all the important phone numbers he'll need.
check my hospital bag once more
plump up the covers on the moses basket
have a long soak in the bath
then off to bed early ready for hospital the following day.

Tomorrow I will:
Have a short lie in
Get up and sorted and then open my birthday cards and pressies
go to Tescos for the Full English Breakfast my sons have promised me lol, lazy pair.
Rush back to the house and wait for the Interflora van
Go to the cinema in the afternoon with my youngest son and his GF (as long as the Interflora van has been)
Check on AB incase Lore has pre-empted them taking her away. and wish unruliejulie a happy birthday too.
Go round to my blokes house for a drink and leave my grandson and his Dad dressing up to go trick or treating.
Stay up late and enjoy my birthday. :)
Ooooh good news sam - i've pre booked the tickets in case of a sell out! I really enjoyed the first 2! But thought maybe the 3rd would get a bit "same old" - still find it a really blood!e scary film!!!
my usual routine, is to tell them to fcuk off when they ring the doorbell, i don't mind the genuine ones, but lads who are about 13 years of age upwards, are so annoying.
I will be working until 10pm - I will try to avoid running over freddie kruger or that scream guy on my way home- last year it was a near miss. Why do the roads suddenly become pedestrianised on halloween- strange
