Binge eating
11 Answers
Does anyone else do this? How do you stop yourself? I have eaten a whole packet of chewing gum and smoked about 20 cigarettes tonight. This is not the way to do it I know!! I am normal weight but I fluctuate half a stone constantly. It makes me miserable. I have looked on the internet but haven't come across any useful tips.
Thanks

Then other days I'll eat nothing and starve. My doctor isnt helping so I wondered if anyone on here had any similar experience or knew anyone who has suffered.
this is difficult for people to give you advise, you have issues you need to get sorted and you need help off a specialist?
your doctor is not taking this seriously OR your not liking what he/she is saying?
have you tried a councilor (sp) or hypnotherapy?
if your half a stone fluctuating it doesnt sound like a big problem but everything has to start somewhere?

Hi, My doctor says he can refer me to a specialist/councillor (sp) but it could take 3 months. I have agreed to it and am now waiting but in the meantime, what can I do? He has left it at that and I don;t want to keep going back and annoying him as he has done all he can do for now. It's not actually the weight gain/loss that scares me its the lack of control I have when I get an 'attack'. That's what it feels like. I eat til my stomach hurts so much and then I punish myself by eating more!! It sounds so ridiculous when I read this back. Maybe someone who has been through it can relate. Sorry to others if I sound pathetic.
Without going into detail on here, babe, I know you're NOT pathetic!
