I think sometimes its worse for the person waiting for their loved one to come round from an op.
You have my heartfelt sympathy, as my husband and three of my daughters have had surgery at some point and I remember feeling sick the whole time.
Its so easy to say, just try to relax, but I do know its not that easy when you are so worried.
All ABer's will be sending you good luck vibes and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hope his op is a success.

Aww you poor thing. It's true - it is often the other person that worries far more than the person going through it.He is in excellent hands I'm sure.Just call the ward regularly, they won't mind, and keep yourself updated. Before you know it he will be back on the ward drinking tea and munching toast!

Hi chazza,
Don't be worrying to much my lad had spinal surgery 3 years ago, metal plates inserted because his back was broken in 3 places plus every part of his spine had crazing, but he came through fine, wish you good luck, Ray
As Floella says it is horrible for the one that are waiting, the time seems to really drag.

Remember that medical practice is more sophisticated, and therefore safe, today than it has ever been. Surgery which used to be riskly and dangerous, is now routine, so I'm sure your BF will be fine. It just shows how much you care that you worry so much - he is very lucky to know you, and I hope he appreciates you!
