You see it at 40 a bottle in Holland & Barrett and then the same amount in Boots or Sainsburys for under a tenner. According to the labels each contains the same amount of GS. There is no grading like Class 1 etc. How do you differentiate? Is the dearest going to be the best. (no point in asking the shop!!) Someone.. please help Im tearing my hair out!
The cheaper ones have no amount of gluco stated. The bit dearer ones at boots have 500mg. The really dear ones at H and B have 1000mg in. My advice go to one of the ordinary chemists not a high street name, they are usually cheaper and give you better advice.
Glucosamine falls into a grey area as it is not strictly classifed as a medicine, thus its production is not closely regulated.
Always go to a well-known shop specialising in healthcare, such as Boots, Lloydspharmacy.
Avoid mail-order health supplements as their content is not regulated and their is usually little evidence to back up their claims. Plus they tend to be more expensive!!
What more evidence do you want than the fact that you & your husband`s conditions/ailments are vastly improved. As for being more expensive on line, I disagree with that. It`s the same as anything what works for some may not work for others. This goes for conventional healthcare products aswell.
