Mine is Dansk, master series, stainless steel And non-stick, got it for a reasonable price. I've had it for a year, looks as good as new.
F**k me bobtheturkey this has got be the question of the week ;-)
A set of 3 pans from the shop for a fiver. Minus a handle!
I've just done an inventory of my saucepans !!

One black one I use for boiling potatoes (a Woolies one), one stainless steel one for sprouts (with burn marks after I once fell asleep while potatoes were on the go and it burned), a smaller one for heating up baked beans. This one sticks a bit, so I am thinking of replacing it, but let's not be hasty lol ! The black one has a glass lid with a little hole in it, the stainless steel one has a stainless steel lid without a little hole in it which is puzzling but probably an economic thing.
Isn't the hole to let the steam out a bit and stop water running back in, or burning you when you take the lid off and turn it over?!
i dont use pans,my wok has everything made in it its great
country-boy, the hole is a waste of space because I boil the sprouts in the steel one and the potatoes in the black one, but I use the steel lid for draining both - i.e. the lid with the hole in it never gets used !! I perch it on top of the cooker and reunite it with its pan after washing up. Clever trick, saves washing up two lids.
I dont have many saucepans, just the one and its great, no holes or scratches and it wasn't even worth a huge amount :)
jump, what does your saucepan say on its base ? We'll hang on while you go and look. Is it non stick ? Anodised ? Moisturising ?

I find the hole is good for bolognese, you can still reduce it without splattering your nice white chefs hat!
I scrub my Meyers with the scratchy side, whiffey. MInd you, they aren't non-stick teflon things ~ they wash really well.

I have had them almost ten years and they are still going strong. They have a lifetime guarantee anyway.

I wouldn't buy those 9.99 jobbies. They last about a week.
Mine are silver with lids and handles!x
Stainless Steel v Non Stick????

I say: Stainless Steel - everytime
whats a saucepan
Tut tut!!!x
I think all of carakeels are stainless steel, She is the best cook in the world as well I hasten to add!!

I don't have any myself, well, I don't need them do I!!

I do have some very nice Sabateur knives though, not that I use them very much!!
LOL thanks love, but your knives are called Sabatir knives ... not sabateur knives!!! LOL XXXX :o)

Well, I have had most of my rather large collection of pans, saucepans and knives for well over 40 years. My parents once ran one of the top private clubs / restaurants in Europe and I still have some of the professional cookware from that time, some stainless steel and other pieces stainless steel with copper bottoms, all well looked after and a delight to cook with!!! I was also very lucky to be able to learn from our four chefs and our baker at the time, a wonderful experience for a child. I do also have a few fun things like a pizza pan, Raclette grill, fondue sets etc. Needless to say, we all enjoy our food in this house and my grown up children are great cooks too! I quite often cook and bake with my grandchildren and they too enjoy it and are becoming really good cooks. So you see bob, pans are most important!!! xx :o)
Morphy Richards stainless steel with blue ( got to be blue!!) glass lids Set of 3 had as a present for crimbo off my mum when moved in with the bloke 8 years ago.

Good quality and still going strong.
