size zero models furore

Are we talking a US size zero here (UK 4) or a UK size zero?

I just can't believe that any adult could be a UK size zero. Let alone a UK size 4.

I know there's a US zero as I've seen it in GAP.
I just don't know if there's a UK size zero having never seen one or indeed an adult who is that slim.

Well in my opinion a even a UK size 4 must be pretty unhealthy (Especially for the height that most models are).

Surely at that size your BMI must be in the anorexic zone.

Size zero?!!! I've never heard anything like it! How is this possible? I would assume a size zero meant that there was no size suggesting that the person did not even exist!

Women by and large fail to understand that the vast majority of men, still being governed by their primitive side, actually don't want a girl whose stick thin with no figure. Psychologically, they want a woman who stands a reasonable chance of having children without trouble, who is fit and healthy and who has a reasonable sense of herself. Women are led psychologically to think stick thinnness is attractive not just because of modern day imagry and media presure but because in order to reproduce a woman historically had to be young, so they believe psychologically that an elfin appearance will make them appear more teenage and thus more attractive to males.
That's why ask any bloke and he'll tell you Nigella Lawson (18), Marilyn Monroe (16) etc are goddess's and if you ask a woman it's all about Kate Moss.
Lots of generalisations there, tear me apart at will ladies, but I honestly think that's about it. Anyone much under a 10-12 I find really unattractive.

US Size zero is the same as UK size 4. There isn't a UK size 0

Noxylumos, I'm not saying that it's a size that anyone should strive for at all. I think people like Victoria Beckham and Nicole Ritchie look repulsive.

I just couldn't quite believe that there were people that small out there. In fact I don't even think I've met anyone who is a size 6. Or even many 8s.

I'm all for the curvy female form. I think Nigella Lawson is an absolutely stunning woman.

Pa___ul: Good call, Kelly Brook is another stunning woman with a beautiful body. I just cross my fingers and hope that she doesn't let the phoniness of Hollywood get to her and shed her fabulous figure.

I use to work with a girl who was a size 6. She was naturally very small and ate far more than I did..the poor girl was desperate to put on weight, and envied my voluptuous curves. I, on the other hand, only have to look at a cake and my hips expand!

It is unfair to say that all girls under size 10 want to be that way & strive to be size 2. I do realise that there are many girls/women who do starve themselves, but ot all.

Mr Pippas ex wife is rake thin. Her eyes bulge out their sockets and you could carve meat with her cheekbones. He also prefers women to be a size 12 or over.

I know that some women are just naturally tiny, my mother for one is only 5' tall and used to be very petite but ate heartily etc. It was just the way her body was.

My issue is with women who aren't naturally petite who try to make their bodies be something they weren't ever designed to be. Sophie Dahl is great example. She's a tall, large voluptuous woman who when she did lose all the weight looked gaunt and starved.

That's an interesting concept Pa__l ( that is SO cool to type) I wouldn't be surprised at all.
I think she is one of the most revolting looking women I have ever laid eyes on, I think I'd rather **** a bloke.
