Smoking Ban

The Smoking Ban comes into affect on July 1st 2007.

What are you thoughts on this?

Absolutely delighted that I will be able to have a quiet drink in a pub without coming out smelling like a smoked kipper and choking to death, or to be able to enjoy a meal in a restaurant without some inconsiderate person nearby blowing their tobacco fumes all over our food.
It can't come soon enough for me !

Hi wendyc, I gave up smoking 19 years ago and felt the difference rightaway but most of all I had'nt realised how awful I must have smelled to non smoker's. I cant bear the smell of ciggie's or ashtray's or smokey places so Im glad the ban for Wales has come through. They say ex smoker's are the worse..lol.

daisy48 and wendys, thank you for your comments, all are appreciated (well most), as has been stated the smokers on here have said that they think it is a good idea. and the question was 'what are your thoughts on this', cant you read Wardy?????

ummmm, I have no problems with Wardy's views, perhaps just maybe the way he declares them. I have disagreed with many people on here over many issues but I have never felt the need to be completely rude or abusive, and I am sure as you will see from the posts by smokers, no one has said it is a bad idea.

I don't mind the smell of fags, what really gets up my nose is the reek of cheap perfume on women, & men clarted in evil smelling aftershave & over-perfumed deodorant. I've had many an evening spoilt by women smelling like tarts & men smelling like jessies !

Nobody says anything about the disgusting smells in town etc after the drinkers have puked up everywhere. Or the empty chip/curry containers left around. Smokers have never been arrested for having "one more fag" or got into fights.

Henfield is in Sussex, quite near Brighton, I know it fairly well.

Large Bentley, Swimming pool in the grounds, attached flat over burned-out garage, slogans daubed on the wall, several acres of grounds.

We have all read the same story over and over again. But funnily enough I, and lot's of others still like him.

He has never said anything bad to me, and I'm sure he knows some of my issues, including my children. I wonder why he is nice to me and not to you?

I live in a big 5 bed house, drive a nice car, have a very good job and lot's of friends. Am I telling the truth........who cares.....they're just words!!!!
