Life after death??

I was once told by someone very spititual, that there is a life for us, and it is really, really lovely, but its so nice that if we all knew what is was really like there would be mass suicide.......but we will all know one day...

I'm a firm believer in life after death. After losing both my parent's within 18 months of each other I felt I needed some sort of assurance that they were at peace. I went to a medium who did'nt know me from Adam and he told me to tell him nothing. He closed his eye's for a moment then looking right at me he told me I was the image of my Mother and described her in detail even down to her favourite colour. He then said my Dad was standing at my side telling the medium that he used to be in the Merchant Navy and he's "Seen" some of his old mucker's. Larry, the medium told me my Mum wanted me to have her wedding ring,not my sister. This was true as my Mum had told us all what she wanted us to have. He also told me my Dad was thanking my hubby for taking care of me and my 2 kids by my 1st marriage. My ex walked out on us,so he was correct there! He told me more private things which were spot on. This man was no con man,he put my mind at rest and told me there is no such thing as death as the soul lives on.

Daisy that is lovely I have lost someone very close to me recently which made me ask the question.. I would like to see a medium even though I am not really into anything like that and feel embarrased if friends were to find out. But I am still too upset at my loss to talk open with someone and them tell me that my loved one is there by my side. However comforting a may be I'd be on the floor in tears. So I think I will have to wait!

Dear "what..the?", If you really want to, you will find the courage to go to a medium. If you do decide to go make sure the person you see has a good reputation.
An old Native American shaman once said,"There is no such thing as death,only a change of worlds".
Some say give the deceased time to understand and feel comfortable in their new place before you make any decision to contact them.

Please accept my condolence's what-the?. Its an old saying but so true. "Time is a great healer." You'll never get over your loss but you will come to term's with it as the days go by. Like you,one of my sister's had a message from my Dad. The medium told her he had a "Father Figure" by him who was showing him fish on a plate. That may sound daft to anyone else but after leaving the Merchant Navy,Dad worked on the trawler's fishing. My sister could'nt handle it at all and my niece had to take her home. My reading did the opposite,it brought me comfort knowing my parent's are with us in spirit. If you do decide to see a medium,phone your local spiritualist church for a private reading. They will reccomend a genuine medium. x

Dear "daisy48",I have been interested in the culture and especially the spiritual teachings of many Native American shamen/women.They possess powers that we either wouldn't believe or have forgotten to use ourselves.A friend of mine who regularly visits an old medicine man friend would take her into a nearby forest and tell her what all the plants,berries etc could be used for medicinally and even though he was in his eighties would have unusually acute senses.
As much as the Western world think it's technological advances rule,these people have a history and inner knowing about life and our (human) origins that transcends the usual way of thinking.
