subtitles

is there any one out there who cant watch tv without the subtitles on? i have perfectly good hearing but i find it impossible to concentrate without them on, i know of only one other person who does this and they are perfectly normal i believe :) am i weird?

I dont like the Wednesday Sky Movie chanel with the hand signal and subtitles on..it puts me off

not to bothered by tv, but i like to watch foregin films with subtitles, not sure if its because you have to concentrate more, though i seem to enjoy them

I put them on if i'm on the phone and I really want to know what is going on in the show I'm watching. Your still weird tho ; )

I only watch tv with subtitles. I even record programmes with the subtitles.

I do bob, and it drives my family mad.

My hearing is razor sharp, but like you find it difficult to concentrate without them - although some of the spelling is diabolical and that makes me mad.

I use them mostly while watching foreign films, but sometimes wish even regular English films and programmes would have them as some accents are very hard to follow ...

Hmmm, i dont know about subtitles, but i cant watch a programme if is hasnt gor sumtitties on :)

Ha ha, bobtheturkey, you are by no means alone. I have done this for several years and it annoys everyone. It's annoying when visiting people as they don't have them on lol. Not sure why I have them on all the time, I started it before I had my children although it is needed when they're playing with toys. People can't understand how I can have them on and watch the tv program as well, as I've explained to them I can read it and watch the tv at the same time!
