God's name is Math, his counterpart is Random Chance. I know it says in the Lord's prayer, "Harold be Thy name", but that is a red herring and probable reason that xtians have the fish symbol. Anyway, God has nothing to do with religion, God has to do with life or Order and his counterpart has to do with death, or Entropy. That's it. The religion part is merely a manmade control device.

This is my theory anyway; Poverty, murder and nasty stuff exist because God does not have total control over what happens here on earth, he only 'guides' our souls, and attempts to help us make life better for ourselves, (after all we do have the gift of free will, free will wouldn't exist if God had total control!). As for the Big Bang theory, who says God didn't create the universe that way, implying that Science and spirituality are more closely linked than we would assume. This is my theory anyway. DISCLAIMER: Nelli follows no organised religion, just her own theories....etc. ;-)

Coldfusion: When I was a kid I used to have this theory that the reason we don't know what God is (or anything we can't explain for that matter) is because it is beyond our comprehension. For instance, I'm sure the fact that I wear clothes, and have a comprehensible language was beyond my cat's comprehension. i.e. our brains are too small......either that or I had far too much time on my hands as a kid!!! ;-)

after a degree in theology one should know all the answers. Does God exist? Will it rain tomorrow? God is for me the crutch for the human race. People believe in him when they fall on hard times or just need someone to talk to. he's our imaginary friend who doesn't answer back. In this society he is patriarchal (i will refrain from going mad) he carries the burdens noone else wants to listen to. so yes theres a figment of our imagination easing our minds but is he really there? We all live in our own realities and we all believe in different ideals.

Re. Trinity's answer. Karl Marks called religion "the opiate of the people" and he was spot on. However in our enlightened times we have rehabilitation centres and aversion therapy treatment for "opiate" addicts. The reason that we do not "treat" religion addicts is because they are a great source of wealth for the church (and its rulers) and it keeps some of the population subservient for the politicians. The odd thing to me is that if someone commits a strange act and claims he was told to do it by voices in his head, he is locked away. If someone says he received a message from God then he is well respected and looked up to by many. ( I am not refering to Toady B liar.. He is beyond all comprehension)

my answer to youre question is simple and easy GOD EXIST whether you believe it or not he does EXIST  and i do not approve of you saying what the hell is god  HE IS THE MIGHTEST WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NAMES GOD IS THE GREATEST .HE   is taking care of this world perfectly but its people like whose corrupted are ruining this world for mankind to live in peace for everything you do god is ever watchful you will be known of this on the final day when youre records of what you did in this world will be opened in front of you

now a person with understanding would have ideas there are signs in which men can see  but are blinded after seeing it.

 dinasaures were exsited before us. but why argue or explain to you about it  the only way we have come to known about it is through digging to find  remainings of these dinasaures. but they too  did existed didnt they poverty hunger these are test.  in which god sees who is more dearer to him  a rich man who earns his hard sweat  money lawful way and feeds those hungry shall never become hungry again .but a man work with the earning of unlawful way  and then feeds the hungry his hunger will not be satisfied . and also god cures those who he wishes to cure and those he wishes to feed but do you know who conflict theses diseases  its man kind himself . becouse mankind is never satisfied of what they have  they are always lacking for more and more and wants to prove they are something but i believe mankind are all equal no person is higher or lower  we are all the same no matter what race colour  or background god has created us all  and to him shall we return open youre eyes before its to late .
