Not sure if this is the one you heard but Paul Anka has done a swing/bigband version of 'smells like teen spirit'. It is on an album called Rock Swings by Paul Anka. ( he wrote 'My Way' I believe). It is fantastic and has swing versions of tracks like Jump, wonderwall, Its a sin. Etc.
Well worth a listen!
