A dear little girl, about 7 years old and with a lispy voice went into a pet shop and asked said to the owner "I want thome wabbits".
He knelt down to her level and asked her "What kind of wabbits would you like". "Ones with long ears; fluffy ones with pink ears or maybe wabbits with big fluffy tails"?
She said," I don't thuppose my 10 foot python gives a s***".

Could you explain it a bit - did the python have a lisp as well ?
Oh Whiffey :0(
I thought it was good thanks parkesquay

Well sleeveless, can you explain it to me ? I really don't see it. I mean, even if she was trying to say s***, that is not normally a word affected by a lisp, so doesn't the punchline fall flat ? The joke would be equally funny without the lisp. I think I need a lay-down or some snooker.
Lie down on the sofa whiffey and watch Hilary Kaye

Actually joby1 that is what I was originally going to put but I didn't wan't to upset anybody. Cor it ain't alf difficult to amuse some people ain't it.
Look, please, is there anybody else apart from me who doesn't understand this ?

If you reverse-substitute the lisp from python you get pyson which is meaningless.
im with you whiffey, dont get where the funny bit is!!!
You're just being silly now Whiffey.....You are way too clever to not get!!!!!!
it
I'm with you there hawkwalk, I simply cannot see the significance of the lisp. I think all jokes posted on AB should have an attached explanation. I may post in Suggs to this effect.

If you rewrite the joke without the lisp, does it lose its punch, I really can't see that it does, and while not wanting to make a big issue about it or string out a thread or irritate people which is not my style, this stuff is really too cryptic for a gentle Sunday evening.
I liked it anyway cheers parkesquay.
Nope! Don't get it.
maggie doesn't see the joke either, I mean crumbs. On this occasion I won't complain to AB Ed, but I really do think all jokes should carry an explanation, especially lispy ones.

I'll drop this now because I suspect it could get irritating and I don't want to irritate anybody on here :)
Whiffey, I think the lisp was to make the little girl a little more cute and cuddly as this would add more shock factor to the punch line, I may be wrong though!!!!
Doctor whilst examining young girls says, big breaths, girl replies, yeth and I'm only thixthteen.

Explanation: girl with lisp thinks Doctor is referring to the size of her boobs ............................................

Well you did ask lol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK Ratter, I see that one, but where does a pyson come into it ? Is it even significant that there is a snake in the joke. I think I'll go and watch the snooker because I don't want to pith anybody off.

I still do not understand this joke.
Where does it mention a Pyson?

The s*** should of read sh!t but was edited

"I don't thuppose my 10 foot python gives a sh!t"

I think you are reading to much into it whiffey.

i would of thought you would have been to busy for the AB this time of the year whiffster?

isnt it panto season? :)
Weel Ratter, the whole thing was based upon a lisp. And therefore it was natural to look for humour in the word python - where there was none. I am going to drop this now because I don't want to be irritating.
