She could sit on it. Personally i dont like to see old ladies with long hair as it is aging. I work in a salon and we probably have one lady in her 50's with long hair, thats it.and no, it doesnt look great. It adds the years on her.
i think long hair is fine at any age!!
How sad that people think there is some kind of age limit for this!
how anyone can say tight curls or the "queen" wave is less aging than simply long hair is beyond me.
most old ladies have short hair, because it is how they had it when they were young.
'old lady hair' is not some kind uniform that old people suddenly adopt when they hit a certain age - it is from the fashion of their youth!! just look at photos from the 1940s-50s.
in the same way, the 30-40 year olds now, will likely do the same thing when they get old.
the current 60 year olds were young in the 60s and 70s and thats why there are more and more with long hair.
of course some will do it because they think that they must - same as all of you seem to think that - and others do it because its easy to manage.
there are enough unwritten rules in the world without this irrational and nonsensical one

I'm 47. My hair is too short at the moment, because a hairdresser got a little scissor-happy with it last year, and it's still growing back.
However, by the time I'm 57, or even 67, I don't intend wearing it any shorter - and I really don't care what I look like. People don't seem to at that age. I shall still be in my jeans, too, and if any well-meaning carer tries to cut my hair short or put me in floral frocks when I'm in my dotage, I'll make their life hell - if not before I die, than after.

My mother in law is well over 60 and has waist length hair and sorry ladies but long hair on older women looks fine, and depending on the woman can look stunning.
What doesn't look fine are the dodgy very short scalpings, curly perms and weird "we're all going to look identical after 60" thing that seems to go on. Be happy, be attractive and don't think you have to have your hair cut at a certain age because you don't.

I am 38 and have goergeous, long thick hair it reaches just to the middle of my shoulderblades and I am proud of it! It doesnt age me, if anything makes me feel very feminine. Not that I am old at 38, but i do look very good for my age and I am always being complimented on how good i look for my age. I dont suit short hair to be honest, and i would feel too boyish with a bob. I love to see long hair on ladies, no matter what the age, as long as it is kept in good condition and not rats tails, or split ends, it looks fantastic.
