I would like to work in fashion, either as a stylist or buyer..
I have no qualifications or relevant experience other than a very keen interest in fashion and 6 years experience in nightclub management... not to mention i shop a LOT!
i think things will be hard for you, as there are people coming out of uni with design degrees who cant get jobs like that. Sounds like you either need to start from the bottom and get a job in a shop, or get yourself some qualifications
Don't want to deter you, but from friend's experiences I know they have worked for iD and the Face magazines for a long time and no pay at all, just travel expenses. It's a tedious process as so many people want to work with them so they can get away with employing people and not paying wages and merely being told it'll look good on the cv.
I would recommend a buyer position - a lot more stable! good luck
I am a fashion marketing student myself and I would definatly suggest going back to uni as buying jobs are very competitive. Also buying pays more than a stylist and the salary increases as you work your way up from an assistant buyer.
