Physics for a beginner
5 Answers
I never studied Physics at school, as I opted for Biology and Chemistry instead, but I have felt that I should know more about Physics as well. Can anyone direct me to a good book that can explain Physics for a complete beginner on the subject?

I did the same. Never took physics beyond middle high school. But I love it, so have bought various general science books over the years which I read for pleasure, and each contains some physics. Three on my shelf now are: The Handy Space Answer Book, Science Answer Book, Unsolved Mysteries of Science, and so forth. *** Then you will need to know some math because the formulas in the laws and theories are key to understanding. *** Don't be embarrassed to get such books as these, written for the lay person and not for the student, because they explain things much better for people like you and me who don't have a teacher or a tutor to go to for explanations. *** Then, after these introductions, you could take physics at night school.
