Who here holds a grudge?
If someone has challenged your opinion or post, or told you off, or got abusive, how long do you let it bother you?

we all know of ward and fina and johnlambert and many with the russian, but any others festering away that others may not be aware of?

I have no grudges - i can be quite outspoken, and don't always consider how things may read at the other end, but i rarely even remember the posts or the name of the person/s involved, nor have I ever been especially offended by anyone, so i do not hold grudges.

so, do you get so upset you cannot let it go?

aah. i did think of him, but i know theres been a few others who have made similar threats.

it is very out of order, no matter how crap you are feeling.

Life is far too short to bear a grudge especially a cyberworld grudge against someone one does not know personally and is never likely to.

I have had run ins with people on here from time to time and remember a certain law student who used to get everyones backs up ..that one could have tried the patience of a saint !
But I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over anything on here.

Everyone is entitled to voice an opinion and we should be grateful that we live in a society which allows us to do so without fear of repercussion.

But I do think there are some who take it far too seriously and let it spill over into personal slanging matches which is frankly ridiculous . It's one thing to have an opinion and to debate something sensibly but when it degenerates into name calling etc and is brought up every whip and turn then there must be some who have huuuuge grudges !

I totally dislike holding a grudge, some people are outspoken, some may word their post wrong, but in the end, if we want to stay on this site, people should let bygones be bygones, always though, I do think, that if one person has upset another, intentionally or not, then an apology is in order, and hopefully, accepted.

i never have grudges, to be honest i always see the best in people, and tend too treat people as i find them, not how others do,
i may tend to be cheeeky or saucy on this site, or say my opinions in suggestions, but i dont beleive i am ever personally abusive to anyone
however somone on this site seems to not like me, for reasons i can not fathom
however if they wish to tell me where i am going wrong, i will only be too pleased to hear from them, and will answer their questions with out malice... so just e-mail me on

There is only only one utter fool on here that I avoid, I don't hold a grudge against him, just not worth it, its easier to just avoid him.

I never intentionally upset or offend anyone, but I'm sure I've managed to do it none the less.

I know who you mean, bednobs, but I don't hold a grudge against him, I just never bother to look at his posts. Same with a few other people; life's just too short. I disagree with people often enough, including joko, but it never bothers me unless they're truly, and deliberately, obnoxious, in which case I ignore them too. No point in coming on to AB just to get angry. <pops a couple of valium> Happy new year, everyone.

What's the point of holding grudges against people within the cyber world - a waste of time & energy!!!!

If you've hastily posted something, then realised it may have offended someone, an apology would be in order & that should be the end of it.

Besides, we're hardly ever to meet one another & one only has to pull the plug - never to be seen or heard of again!
