It's my B'Day and I'm in bed now, having decided to go downstairs early and start pulling up the carpet lol (I'm now ever so slightly cream crackered).... my new years resolution is to get the new flooring asap...... poor mr B is probably exasperated by now as I've left the rest up to him......

Not doing much myself today, popping on AB every now and then. Just doing some washing and keep glancing out the window while Mr ML struggles to finish building his bike trailer (he's been doing it for 5 months suddenly his NY's resolution to finish it ,starting today cos he needs it next weekend !) Its damn cold out there so I aint volunteering no help, I'm nice and warm indoors, chilling out. Thinking of starting on one of my new books which I got for Christmas, or I could start cooking dinner, or could watch movies... so many decisions to make. Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to you. xx

Not much today really, made a lovely roast lamb dinner for us and our elderly neighbour, now just sitting back and watching telly & occasionally checking out AB (when I can focus properly) whilst slowly sipping Champagne (ok Morrisons sparkling wine) and am about to have a beer when this little lot has been polished off! :o)

Back to work Wednesday which makes me feel sick just thinking about (not cos of the work I quite enjoy my job or did but for other reasons) so am trying to enjoy myself as much as poss before that fateful day :o(

Have a good 'un whatever else you do other than pulling up the carpet :o)

work? don't know when mr B's going back but don't be sad :-( Wingnut, my dad has just been given a full time contract and he's 65 lol......(a politicalmove we think)....

guilty as charged! used to grow loads of veggies & stuff on the allotment, but hubbys 63 now & i'm not getting any younger, so now use it for just growing toms, cucies, salad etc in the summer, plus of course plenty of spuds, have 2 ponds & use it for relaxing & watching the wonderful wildlife, my little piece of heaven in this chaotic life!!
mmm, cocktail was lovely thanks, think i'll have a choccie now.........:-)

jolly good show allotment10, I want to grow veggies in the garden in raised troughs so the doggy doesn't get to take a pee on them lol..... I have bagsied 1 part of the garden for me and that's that!!! my herbs are doing well so that's a start.....
I shall be asking for tips in the gardening section later :-)....

I'm still in my PJ's and having a very lazy day watching Nigel Slaters Food Show, eating Roses chocolates. Back to work tomorrow so making the most of my last days holidays by being the laziest person on the planet.

Poor Mr Athley is working today so will make a nice spicey stir fry when he gets home to warm him up as he's outside in the rain, hail and wind.

hi beryllium and all out there... just checking in to see if any replies to my entries. Oh and Mr ML is doing just fine out there... I've volunteered to make him 2 cuppas so far and he took up the offers, though I refused to take them out there, too cold and he might expect me to help him (used the excuse I busy cleaning the house myself - hoover sitting in middle of bedroom floor if he bothers to seek proof. Its not being used, just laying in middle of floor and duster in my hand LOL). anyway, he's happy as larry out there ! Its getting dark now, so can't see him being much longer, though he does have the torch strapped to his forehead ! Poor sausage.... his own fault, he should have finished it when it was summer and lighter in the evenings. Anyway, I'm going to take a lovely hot shower now and pamper me time, though I wish he would be a bit quieter (he's still banging away) its ruining my peace time LOL.

Oh and for dinner I have put on a lovely beef stew (had some left over from yesterday roastie).
