Hmmm, have you not been watching the news Athley?
Everyone is buying hoovers cos there was a programme on the tv about those little flying spiders that escaped from that government experimental center the other night. Apparently the little guys hide in carpets and lay eggs. Apparently, the bacteria in the eggs are slightly radioactive. Laminate flooring sales have trippled to. The only way to destroy them is to get the eggs, which can be suctioned up. People are just panic buying. They get ate by other spiders anyway, so i dont see what the panic is...
must be everyones tidying up after the hols!!
;-)
freaking hoovers......i ve not heard of them but have got a henry hoover

MrBen5 - have you had the hoover up your nose again and sucked out your brain!!! Don't believe everything Trevor McDonut tells you matey.

Thank you mike for the voice of sanity!!!

Why can't they just get the spiders with a dustpan and brush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not just get a Buy It Now?

Freaking hoovers are the ones given the OK by the government for the spiders - come on keep up curly sausage finger!!

Snugglebum - he he he!! I love typing that!!!

By the time I had bid on the others the ones on buy it now had gone as well - its a conspiracy I tells thee a conspiracy!! I am destined to live in a house full of fluff, tinsel scrumps and cat fur!!!!
The government didnt wanna advise people to use a dustpan and brush incase they got loads of law suits against them. They suspected people would claim for bad backs and dust inhalation. And apparently, if you get the eggs on your fingers and touch your face, you get green spots. And i think they said they didnt want the hospitals overun with manic women thinking they had the plague or summat. I just recall certain bits from the news. I will keep you in touch tho...

OK MrBen5 - keep alert and on constant watch - we are all relying on you!!

why dont you either go to a shop and get one or spend more on ebay and outbid them?
my henry is a classic, had it 15 years,,,,,,
They sell 'em in Asda for 'bout 20. Those little pull along ones, I bought one 3 years ago and it's a little marvel! Save ya sanity, get one of those instead of bu88ering 'bout on Ebay :-)
Have you used it yet tho curlylfim? ; )

bednobs - the little e bay b*stards keep outbidding me at the last minute even when I put in a high bid. Only consolation is they have had to pay more!!!

I would love a Henry curly but he's quite expensive - but if you've had him 15 years could be money well spent.

BOO - I may well venture outdoors and search various shops to stop myself going mental.!!

Athley put in a bid of 2,000.00 I bet you win the bidding then, good luck, and Happy Bidding !!!
nope mr ben,,,,,,,,its the wifes........lol
Question Author
Thanks ray - or I could go to BOO's asda and buy 200 - and then sell them on ebay - now thats a plan!!!!

To add insult to injury I am currently being outbid by someone called 'sexflump' - wasn't that a kids TV programme!!!
There's an hoover dumped in Bradford.
The way I (and others) bid and win is by placing my maximum offer within the last 20 seconds, but adding a little extra, so if i fancy paying 200, I may go an extra fiver or tenner as many people will opt to bid for a round number too. Ive won many times by bidding in the final seconds when it simply does not allow others enough time to outbid me. You just need to keep refreshing the page to watch the final seconds and then BINGO! you win! So many people bid with days and hours left...where is the psychology?
Question Author
lizzy - thanks for the thought but its a bit far for me to come and scoop it up from the pavement - he he!!

filthiest - a great tip I wondered why I kept getting outbid in the dying seconds - have you been telling everyone!!!!

:o)
