Most of the IP companies source their Customer Services through call centres in India and South Africa. Wanadoo/Orange have some really poor support staff but they do have competent ones if your'e lucky to get connected to one!! Most of them don't listen to the reported issue and repeat the same drawn out answer as if they are quoting from a training manual. The same applies for TalkTalk...if you get a u/k based agent...they are on the whole extremely competent...if on the other hand you get through to the African and Indian helplines...you may as well hang up.It shouldn't be this way but I'm afraid in spite of what the ISP bosses tell us...there are some glaring inadequacies in the Customer Service areas of some of the big boys. You aren't on your own with this issue..I have spent up to four hours on the "merry -go-round" being transferred from agent to agent .It's really hard trying to keep your "polite head" on when you get some of the stupid responses some of these agents come out with !!!! Having said all that...Tiscali have scored well when I've dealt with them and lots of people have reported good service....Unless someone out there knows different !! It really is a bit of a lottery my friend...I wish you luck..... Regards ....Ed
