I have recently 'cleaned up' my diet and I do about 15-20mins a day of simple stretches and exercising. I feel I never have the time/enegery/motivation to go for a run or anything like that., but is that the best way to loose weight? I feel and look a bit slimmer, but my lower body is still very untoned. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Walking and running would do wonders for your legs and is a better fat reducer. You wouldn't need a hell of a lot of time either-40 mins a day and I'm sure you'd see a difference.
When I started running I followed a beginners programme and it gets you from no running at all to running for 30 mins in 8 weeks. If you want the details let me know.
I've never done much before in the way of excercise but I found this easily do-able and I can honestly say I've never been so fit and toned all over! I loved it.
Think incentive. Whatever your incentive for toning up and/or slimmer down, it has to be a greater incentive than a KFC or a bag of chips. simple as that.
Buy an i-pod (or an old walkman will do fine) and just head for the hills. Walking is fantastic. How about walking dogs for charity?
Ohh that sounds amazing chicklin, I can never seem to get passed the 10minute stage of running! Shameful, but true. The plan sounds ideal. My address is [email protected]. Thank you very much!
Good luck, it can be done. A few years ago I couldn't even run for more than about 2-3 mins without having to have a walk! I'm doing the half marathon in 9 weeks, and can now do upwards of an hour or so of running straight. My top tip would be to start off slowly. Don't bother trying to 'run' at the start, just jog gently and you will get better very quickly. Good luck.
Oh! Wot went wrong then? Hmmmm - did anyone else get it? I used my second email address that I hardly ever use and last time I tried it the other day they had to re-activate it 'cos I hadn't used it for the last 30 days. Perhaps it's got the hump with me now?!
