If you don't already, take a good quality multivitamin and mineral supplement each day. The B vitamins, iron and kelp are all good for promoting hair growth, so you could try these in addition, although make sure you don't end up taking too much iron as that have detrimental effects (e.g give you the runs or constipation). Unless you take exceedingly high dosages, it is difficult to 'overdose' on B vitamins as they are water soluble so the body can easily get rid of surplus amounts. I took Kelp for about 6 or 9 months or so a few years ago when I was concerned that my hair seemed to be moulting at a drastic rate (I put it down to starting the pill) and I saw a difference (though it could just be that my hair 'shedding rate' returned to normal on its own accord, you can never say for sure).

Thanks Miss Zippy, I'll give that a go ;)
mummyof3, I'm a mummyof2, my youngest is 9 months old. My hair was uite long when I had both children and I found myself tying it back a lot when changing the nappies etc. I found that my temples starting thinning quite badly as well as all-over hair loss. I had my hair cut shorter so that I just put it behind my ears (when need be) rather than keep brushing it into a ponytail. Within a few weeks lots of new growth came through at the front and it has continued to do so!
'quite long'!!!!!
