hectic, I had a friend many years ago who was a stunning young woman, very trim figure, married for 9 years to a lovely man and they had tried for all that time to become pregnant. They both came from large families. Both had important jobs and it seemed to others that all was just perfect in their lives. But they were desperately sad when told by three doctors that she would never have children with him as he had an extremely low sperm count.
I was working with her a few months later, translating at an international exhibition in Frankfurt, when she suddenly fell ill and within minutes was writhing on the floor in pain. I phoned her husband and an ambulance and we all headed for the hospital where, much to everyone's astonishment and I might say huge delight, my friend gave birth to a little girl weighing just over 4 pounds. She had no idea she was pregnant as her tummy never showed any bulge, nor did she ever feel sick. She had always had irregular and very mild periods, so had not suspected she was pregnant, especially having been told so many times that her husband could not give her a baby. That baby is now in her 30s and still the pride and joy of her parents. So, keep in touch with your doctor and your midwife and don't worry too much if you don't have a bulge yet. Have a lovely pregnancy! Congratulations and best wishes :o)
