Toon...we had snow Monday night...it had gone by Tuesday Midday.....Isnow doesnt tend to lay now. When I was at school, till mid 80s.....there was snow Nov to March and it layed for weeks at a time. Now it snows then gone in a day....global warming ?
Live in Devon, so hardly ever get snow either! If we do, it's a teeny bit in the night. None this winter yet (still hoping..). I'm kind of glad I don't live in a place that gets quite abit of snow when it's cold - although it's a novelty for a few hours, it becomes a pain round these country lanes. After writing off my last car after a sprinkle of snow, the odd shower here or there would be plenty.
Good point pippa I'm just thinking I dont think my 5 year old has seen snow yet :( well not snow that you could go out & play in.
I'm in Birmingham, as Caz said, nothing here :( behind where I live is woods & the trees seem to hold the snow for longer, so it looks absolutely beautiful when I look out the door & see all the white covered trees :)
hey pippa and wardy, I'm not far from you either, chichester. It looked lovely out my window at 7am, but it didn't last long. My sister made a snowman and put him on the patio for my little brother to come home to, he was so excited!!
We had a fair sprinkling of snow in Oxford today but it was all gone by lunch time. I was so excited when i woke up and saw it had snowed that I got the camera out straight away! How sad.
Pippa, same here with my 3 year old, unfortunatley it had more or lss gone before we could go and play in it!!!!! Im Leicester btw Scarlett! We get it , a little bit anyway, but it never, ever lasts, it always rains straight after its settled. My little one kept asking if he could make a snowman, no chance :-(
