caffeine problems?

My wife has just had blood tests taken but will have to wait a week for the results. Recently if she has coffee even a weak instant coffee, she has heart palpitation's and gets a headache. has anyone else had this problem and what could it be.

my best friend found that practically overnight she would have such attacks after any caffeine. It came on suddenly and it terrified her, she was that scared and was going blue around the mouth that we rushed her to the local hospital. They diagnosed a panic attack.
Over a few weeks she kept a note of when these attacks occured and gradually noticed a pattern. They always followed the consumption of something with caffeine.
Once she had cut caffeine from her diet she never had an attack again. The only time she did was by accident when she drank a green tea thinking it to be a herbal one without caffeine.
I hope that its an intolerance that your wife has and that she can just cut out the caffeine as my friend did.

My mother got the same thing, after drinking Nescafe, no other, but I guess different Coffee's have different affects on different people.
